Most people walk into my studio a little terrified. Not sure where to put their hands, not sure how to feel okay in their own skin in front of a camera. And I get it. Taking your clothes off in front of someone you barely know takes real nerve.
Then something shifts. I've watched people go from bracing themselves to strutting out of here like they've walked a runway a hundred times, because for the first time in a while they actually saw themselves the way I do.

I'm a humanist, an advocate for love and equality, a coffee addict, and the founder of Aurora Lust. I've spent almost two decades photographing people at some of the biggest moments of their lives, from wedding days to album releases to the milestones that don't always get marked with a party. Somewhere in there, boudoir found me too, and it turned out to be one of my favorite ways to connect with humans.
This isn't a rushed headshot session. It's hair and makeup done for you, a private studio built for exactly this kind of work, and me directing you through every second so you're never standing there wondering what to do. Two to three weeks later, a gallery that actually looks like you.
I built Aurora Lust because I got tired of watching boudoir only make room for certain bodies, and I got tired of watching parts of this industry get used as cover for people who picked up a camera for the wrong reasons.
Here, your boundaries get set before we ever shoot, and they don't move unless you move them. Nothing leaves this studio without your say so. Every body is welcome. Every identity is welcome.

My session with Tara remains one of my fondest memories. Exploring kink is an evolution of self, and the photos perfectly capture the empowerment I had discovered, combined with the vulnerability of knowing I had so much more to learn about myself. Tara’s studio is on trend and provides a safe, sensually inspired space to be foxy and kinky. She had implements on hand, which complemented what I had bought. Being a plus-size client, she posed me for my better angles, encouraged experimentation, and directed my movements to ensure I had various great photos across multiple looks. My looks ranged from boudoir lingerie to fetish attire and included an impact scene with my best friend. Having a pro-kink photographer allowed us to go there and be true to our orientation.

I did a solo sexy photo shoot with Tara. I had never done anything like that before. In planning the session, she demonstrated good communication and established a clear understanding of how things would proceed. On the day of the session, we met at her gorgeous loft studio. There were lots of props and items that made for fun backgrounds. She has a ton of options for lighting, including multiple flash sets, reflectors, and large windows for natural lighting. I was a little nervous going into the shoot as I had no prior experience modeling, but Tara was very professional. She was easy to work with, and I quickly became comfortable and confident with the process. She could talk me through poses that felt good and looked awesome in the photos. All in all, it was an incredible and memorable experience. We’re already talking about planning another session.
